Erkunt Sanayi A.Ş. Energy Activity Reports

As part of the Energy Management System activities, which are among our company's key priorities, we are pleased to share with you our "2021 Energy Report," outlining the improvements and initiatives undertaken throughout the year.

Energy consumption data for our Erkunt-1 and Erkunt-2 plants were reported to the Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources. Energy monitoring and departmental targets for 2021 were tracked periodically and presented to top management. Through Kaizen projects carried out to address air leakages, air losses were reduced by 25%, and further deployment of these initiatives continues. The replacement of diesel forklifts with electric models has contributed to the reduction of diesel fuel consumption. Additionally, a vehicle-recognition fuel tracking system linked to license plates was implemented for the remaining diesel forklifts.

Within the scope of the VAP (Efficiency Enhancement Project), the LED lighting project was approved by the Ministry, and commissioning activities are ongoing. Energy Corner publications in the Erkunt Bulletin continue to communicate current energy-related topics to all employees. Energy savings achieved through improvements under Kaizen initiatives are also systematically evaluated within each project.

The expansion of the energy analyzer reporting system continues, with an increased number of monitoring points across our facilities. Illuminance level measurements in work areas are regularly conducted. Training was provided to relevant employees regarding changes in the billing structure under the Last Resort Supply Tariff. Furthermore, contracts with energy supply companies were renewed for all three of our locations under the same tariff framework.
