5S ACTIVITIES
5S is one of the tools of Lean Production method and which also underlies Erkunt production system. 5S activities are carried out effectively with a unique operation in our facilities. Main aim is to prevent 8 main wastes where we apply 5S. While carrying out those activities, optimal layout will be formed including environmental, occupational health & safety and effective stock managerial issues. Another goal in 5S is to increase corporate profit while increasing operational productivity.
LEAN ACTIVITIES
We try to make a difference with Lean Manufacturing in order to compete within the framework of today's technological changes, shortened product life and customer expectations. Kaizen projects used in order to determine the root causes of the problems and to provide lean culture change in our facilities. Those activities firstly started in the production processes and then extended to all processes in Erkunt. Lean method and tools used within the corporate strategic objects with wide range of participation including both operator and top management levels. These projects are the reason of preference by our customers as they represent the importance given to the principle of economic sustainability and continuous improvement.
AUTONOMOUS MAINTENANCE
We are using autonomous maintenance tool in various processes.
Autonomous Maintenance Achievements
By the help of maintenance team, machine operators started to take their own responsibilities for early breakdown detection and maintenance operations.
Autonomous maintenance is a teamwork which includes production& maintenance operators/leaders and engineers therefore teamwork culture has been improved.
While operators, which have an important role in team, started to make routine maintenance and controls, their operational level is reached to detecting machinery abnormalities.
Common knowledge share on the same aim has been constituted among the team members.
While the time spent by the operator decreases with autonomous maintenance work, the actual work done has been increased.
With autonomous maintenance, machine operators started to embrace their own machines and their workload has been reduced by kaizen projects.
In order to increase the autonomous maintenance level, planned activities are also carried out.
EARLY EQUIPMENT MANAGEMENT
Early equipment management is a lean manufacturing tool that covers the entire design, procurement, installation & commissioning and operation processes starting from the decision making. Main aim of this study is to look out for all the important corporate benefits in all investment related stages.
Investments are evaluated with the investment A3 reports which includes payback analysis, life cycle costs, maintenance needs, equipment quality performances etc.
With the activities carried out, investments made since 2018 has been ensured to operate with maximum level of OEE and minimum failure / downtime.
